Office Administrator / Marketing Coordinator

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex (Primary Location: Plano, Texas) Employment Type: Full-Time

In the role of Office Administrator, we will count on you to:

  • Maintain and organize office and project records
  • Provide company and project document control
  • Review and process company expense reports
  • Prepare monthly invoices to clients
  • Coordinate vehicle fleet maintenance and organize vehicle records
  • Maintain office supplies and personal protective equipment
  • Perform data entry and file scanning
  • Other duties based on prior experience and ability to learn new skills though on the job training 
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 to 20 years of administrative experience
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong people skills
  • Ability to represent TCS and its clients in a professional manner at all times
  • Ability to use computer programs including Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook

Experience in one or more of the following is a plus:

  • Prior experience in the civil engineering consulting industry
  • Marketing and proposal preparation
  • Construction record keeping
  • Materials testing data entry (e.g. TxDOT Site Manager or I2MS)
  • Fleet administration
  • Invoicing and expense report administration
Starting salary will be based on relevant experience. Compensation includes competitive base salary, supplemental pay for additional hours worked, and year-end performance-based bonus opportunities. Construction Inspector / Junior Construction Inspector
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Austin, or San Antonio, Texas Employment Type: Full-Time
In the role of a Construction Inspector or Junior Construction Inspector, we will count on you to:
  • Performs inspection and observations directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures.
  • Perform inspection on projects requiring expertise and knowledge in multiple areas of construction inspection.
  • Read and interpret plans and construction specifications.
  • Perform tests on materials (as needed) to determine if work is done according to contract specifications.
  • Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
  • Performs basic review of inspections and data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
  • Communicates information to Project Manager and other PM.
  • Has experience in multiple areas of inspection and field testing.
  • Trains lower level inspectors.
  • May direct and supervise activities of other construction inspectors on larger projects.
  • May plan, schedule and dispatch other staff to project sites based on technician skill set, certifications, location, project, and priority.
  • May interact with client and other site personnel on behalf of the Project Manager when directed.
  • May assist Project Manager in development of scope inspection and testing services.
  • Maintains equipment operation and calibration (as needed).
  • Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred certifications:  ACI Field, TXAPA 102, TXAPA Level 1B, Nuclear Density Safety and Operation.
  • Ability to perform work on active jobsite in safe, proficient manner required.
  • Ability to prepare reports and documentation with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, nights and weekends).
  • Requires the ability to lift / carry a case that weighs 95 pounds and push up to 250 pounds in a wheelbarrow.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Must have a clear driving record; a DMV check will be conducted.

  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on projects.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred certifications or ability to acquire:  ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician, AGG101, TXAPA Level 1A, SB101, SB102, SB103, SB201, and SB202.
  • Well versed in ASTM & TXDOT test procedures for soils, aggregates, concrete and HMAC.
  • Ability to prepare reports and documentation with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires the ability to lift / carry a case that weighs 95 pounds and push up to 250 pounds in a wheelbarrow.
